SNORING - SLEEP APNEA TREATMENT

SNORING - SLEEP APNEA TREATMENT

The problem is that when sleeping, the muscles and tissues of the pharynx relax, the jaw and tongue fall back, reducing the space for air to pass through the throat.

The result is that by narrowing the conduit through which the air passes when breathing, turbulence is created that gives rise to the vibration of the walls of the pharynx, causing the unpleasant sound that we all know.

There are sleep hygiene measures that we can apply to try to improve snoring, such as: ensuring a healthy diet, avoiding, above all, copious dinners before going to bed; exercise, do not smoke, do not consume alcohol or sedatives, avoid sleeping on your back...
